The Bird House was created for and donated to the local Habitat For Humanities for their annual Bird House Auction fundraiser. The house is made of clear and gray 1/4" plate glass, with a removable roof. The flowers in the landscape are lampworked soft glass, as are the acorns and the eggs in the nest. The Carolina Wren is lampworked borosillicate glass, frosted and airbrushed for color. The bird nest, and the acorn caps, were collected on the artist's property.
